Many NGOs are there that are transforming lives.  These non-government organizations focus on providing assistances to weaker sections of society. The motive is to provide poor people especially women and kids a helping hand. The NGOs motivate less privileged children to go to school and get education. Women are taught about the health problems and overall welfare.

Once you look around and explore NGO trust in India, you would come across many NGOs that are doing much for people. The volunteers working in these organizations make sure to provide people with proper food, education and skills that can make them a better citizen. These organizations also try to empower people by making them aware about the government schemes and policies.

Lack of awareness

The root of problems in India is unawareness. People don’t know about what they can do and about their rights. They have no clue about the policies and facilities provided by the government.  Even if there are NGOs out there to help them and make them capable; these people have no idea about their existence.  You would be surprised to know that there are many people who are working in NGOs out there that are dedicated towards strengthening the lifestyle of people. The people in these organizations motivate women to undertake different types of specialized activities that rouse social status and income generation of families. Once women know that they too can be of use in different tasks and earn a living for themselves; they can take care of their family in a much better manner.

Importance of education

NGOs make sure to go to remote areas and visit home to home to spread a message related to education and literacy. Illiteracy is the biggest grass root of unemployment, poverty and crime. The volunteers from these NGOs go home to home to aware people especially house wives to get an education. These fellows counsel the illiterate couples to send their kids to schools. There are many educational schemes out there that enable even poor kids to get studies. Poor people are told about the incentives that are given to the kids if they go to school and study.

Health and treatment

Many people in India lose their lives because of bad health conditions. Hygiene and proper health is important for life. NGOs are trying their best to educate people especially women regarding the health problems they that take place in the absence of proper precautions or actions. For example, they are told about pregnancy, periods, overall body development, child care and other things so that they can take care of themselves and kids in a much better way.

Similarly, these NGOs come up with free camps, give medical assistance and aid people in medicinal areas. Proper consultancy is given to people so that they can lead their life in a healthy and fit manner. The signs of different health conditions and what should be done if a specific ailment takes place; everything is told to people.  Regular dental, maternal and child health check-ups are provided free of costs.
